Best Western Abbots Barton Hotel
The Best Western Abbots Barton is a superior 3 star hotel located just outside the walls of the ancient City of Canterbury. It is a unique Gothic style hotel with charm and ambiance, set in 2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. Conveniently located just a 10 minute walk from the city centre with excellent transport links to London and only a short drive to the Port of Dover and the Channel Tunnel in Folkestone, with plenty of on-site parking available.
The Abbots Barton Hotel was originally built in 1830 as a private house but became a hotel in 1927 and has since expanded to it's present size.
Comprising 53 en suite bedrooms, The Fountain Restaurant which seats up to 70 people, 4 private function rooms suitable for more intimate weddings and the Cathedral Suite which seats up to 120 people for a wedding breakfast and up to 180 for an evening reception. The Cathedral suite has views and direct access to the gardens which provides an idyllic setting for marquees holding up to 250 guests.
There's an excellent choice of fine food and wines available to you, all our menus have been thoughtfully created by our Executive Chef, but are also flexible and can be tailor made to meet your own individual requirements.
